When William J. Jankowski was 17 years old, he sent a fan letter to his favorite celebrity, Patty Duke. This turned into a friendship that lasted over 15 years. Patty Duke sadly passed away in 2016, but before she passed William helped her write her final memoir, In the Presence of Greatness: My Sixty-Year Journey As An Actress.
